Supplied by a group of smallholder tea farmers from Western Uganda, Igara Growers Tea Factory is eloquent evidence of the economically-empowering benefits of value addition to what was hitherto a primary production venture. Grown in the rich volcanic soils of western Uganda and therefore possessing guaranteed good quality, Igara Tea is widely distributed in Uganda, with a substantial portion targeted at the international community, with key markets like United Kingdom, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Egypt , Kenya and Somali being firmly in the firm’s sights.
