Imperial Botanical

In September 2013, EADB approved a loan of USD 3.5 million to Imperial Botanical to construct a hotel housing 54 units and a shopping arcade.

Imperial Botanical has been instrumental in promoting private sector development in Uganda and in supporting Uganda’s second National Development Plan to boost the tourism sector. The hotel has created 25 permanent jobs, whilst the shopping arcade is expected to create 80 permanent jobs. Furthermore, Imperial Botanical is expected to earn USD 2 million per annum in foreign exchange and UGX 2 billion per annum in tax revenue.
