Through the support of the EADB, this family-owned venture was able to put up a 70-room hotel in Kampala. Run as part of the Protea Hotels franchise, such has been the success of this first unit that plans are already underway to replicate the venture in other parts of the country. Besides upping Kampala’s bed capacity, this enterprise has greatly contributed to the modernization of Uganda’s hospitality industry.
