The EADB Medical Training and Fellowship program is conducted by the Royal
College of Physicians UK, in partnership with the British Council.
It is a four-year program aims to trained 600 medical professionals specializing in
cancer treatment in the East African region.
The fellowship will focus on early detection, research and treatment of cancer and neurological disorders especially in communities and areas where access to qualified professionals remains a challenge.
Development and improving capacity in neurology and oncology in the East African Region.
Increasing the number, quality and deployment of medical professionals in public service to cushion the burden of NCDs.
Seventy-eight doctors completed the four clinical training courses over the four weeks.
This 98% of the original target number of 80 doctors was achieved in this first series of trainings.
