Kampala, Uganda - Monday 28th July: The East African Development Bank had the pleasure of being a part of the official launch of the second Watoto Golf tournament. During the launch, our Uganda Country Manager, Francis Ogwang, presented a dummy cheque representing a contribution of UGX 10 million from EADB to the Watoto Church Team Leader Pastor Julius Rwotlonyo.

This funding aims to support the training of 1,000 vulnerable women, providing them with opportunities for economic empowerment. The contribution serves more than just financial support; but a reflection of our shared values and the beginning of an incredible partnership with Watoto Church Ministries.

While speaking at the launch, Uganda Country Manager, Francis Ogwang shared,

" At EADB, we believe our corporate social investment (CSI) agenda is not about “giving back” to the community but rather using our resources to build resilient communities. Our vision as an institution is to be the partner of choice for promoting sustainable socio-economic development in our communities, which is why we believe partnering with Watoto Church speaks to that vision."
