Social Responsibility

In its principles and guidelines on Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR), EADB recognises that responsible business is good business. The Bank supports CSR initiatives which:

• Are in line with its strategy and vision
• Have, at their core, economic empowerment goals
• Benefit the greatest number of people in the region
• Are regional in nature and promote regional integration
• Focus on sustainability through partnership, technology transfer and replication

In its CSR activities, EADB values partnerships, including with the communities, government agencies, the private sector and public benefit organisations (PBOs) to increase buy-in and sustainability of the initiatives. Important factors include:
